The core members originally met by chance through snowboarding and quickly became a close nit group. The Movement snowboards was the first of many endeavors that they would form together. Creative freedom and expression was the mission. We took a unique and innovative approach to branding and marketing, and received critical acclaim for its progressive board design and timeless nostalgic ad campaign. The Movement was a success and has and will continue to be an inspiration. The Collective was a new opportunity for the group to expand creatively and collaboration was taken to new levels. The Haakonsen Factor, Walrus Dreams, Frequency magazine, a series of Burton snowboard graphics, and the Project Therapy books were just a few of the groundbreaking projects that were realized. Withstanding the test of time, and with a new maturity, the group has formed GAMA, a new creative collaborative with the same mission, to evoke change through creative expression.
